I am not a licensed attorney and do not provide legal advice or legal representation. If you have questions that involve legal rights or require legal interpretation, I encourage you to consult with a qualified attorney.

I’m committed to providing high-quality, professional educational consulting services tailored to each school's needs. Services are offered within reasonable professional limits and based on my expertise.

To ensure ethical and effective support, I may respectfully decline requests that:

  • Fall outside the agreed-upon scope of services

  • Conflict with professional standards or ethics

  • Are not feasible within my availability or area of expertise

If a need arises that goes beyond my services, I’m happy to recommend other trusted professionals or resources when possible.

Communication & Availability

You’re welcome to reach out by email, phone, or text—whatever works best for you and the situation. I do my best to respond within two business days during my standard hours:

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM CST.

If I’m out of the office for holidays or scheduled time off, response times might be a little longer, but I’ll always get back to you as soon as I can.

Expectations & Responsibility

I bring years of experience, deep commitment, and a collaborative spirit to every family and school I work with. My goal is to support informed, empowered decisions that help students with unique needs access the education they deserve.

No Guaranteed Outcomes

While I provide guidance rooted in expertise, current best practices, and a strong understanding of special education systems, outcomes can’t be guaranteed. Educational decisions often involve many variables—including school teams, districts, and external providers—many of which are beyond my control.

Limits of Liability

As an educational consultant, I serve in an advisory role. I do not make decisions on behalf of schools, families, or agencies, nor am I responsible for their actions. While I carry professional liability insurance, my liability is limited to the fees paid for services. I cannot be held accountable for indirect or unexpected consequences resulting from third-party decisions.

Above all, my role is to walk alongside families and collaborate with schools and professionals with honesty, respect, and shared purpose—always putting the student’s best interest at the center.

Public & Charter Schools

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • Are you responding to a Corrective Action Plan following a state complaint or investigation? I can support you with:

    • Staff training and professional development

    • Reviewing and updating internal procedures

    • Helping implement and monitor effective, sustainable plans

  • Do you need short-term support from an educational coach to guide specific staff members?

  • Would it help to bring in a neutral third party to observe classrooms or staff interactions—and then collaborate with your team to strengthen the implementation of IEPs, 504 Plans, behavior supports, or other student-centered interventions?

If you're navigating these or similar challenges, I’m here to partner with you in finding practical, positive solutions that keep students at the center.

Speak Up For Education Consulting, LLC understands that as a public entity, I must comply with applicable state and local procurement regulations.

If services involve in-person interaction with students or presence on school premises, Speak Up For Education Consulting, LLC will comply with any required background check or clearance procedures, including submission of fingerprinting or criminal history background information, in accordance with applicable school policy and state law.

Private Schools

Navigating special education in private and voucher school settings can be complex—and that’s where I can help.

What Schools Should Know:

  • Private schools that do not receive federal funding are not required to follow the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) or provide a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE).

  • Private schools that do receive federal funding must comply with IDEA and FAPE.

  • Voucher schools follow the same standards: if they receive federal funding, they are subject to IDEA and FAPE; if not, those requirements do not apply.

  • All private and voucher schools, regardless of funding status, must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by providing reasonable accommodations to students with disabilities.

How I Can Support Your Private School Community

I partner with private and voucher schools to create inclusive, student-centered environments that align with legal expectations and best practices. My goal is to support both staff and families in navigating accommodations and special education processes with confidence.

My services include:

  • Staff training on how to implement reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

  • Student observations with tailored recommendations for classroom or school-wide supports

  • Support with documentation, including how to clearly communicate accommodations and plans to families

  • Guidance for families on how to initiate a special education referral through their local public school district, when appropriate

  • Clarification on when reasonable accommodations may transition into specially designed instruction—and no longer fall under ADA alone

Whether you're a school administrator or a parent seeking clarity, I help bridge the gap between legal obligations and everyday practice—with a focus on doing what’s best for the child.

Please Note: Religious private schools that do not receive federal funding are not required to follow FAPE (Free Appropriate Public Education), IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act), or ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act).

If services involve in-person interaction with students or presence on school premises, Speak Up For Education Consulting, LLC will comply with any required background check or clearance procedures, including submission of fingerprinting or criminal history background information, in accordance with applicable school policy and state law.
